There are people who create special spaces for people who are tired of their tough daily lives. They are the people who create camping cars and container buildings. Let's meet the struggles of workers who create their own special spaces, from camping cars made by remodeling used buses to container buildings made by remodeling shipping containers! - My Own Space Made by Remodeling Shipping Containers Is there a space of my own made with shipping containers? They have their own earthquake-resistant design, can create various spaces by combining multiple containers, and are even mobile enough to be installed wherever you want! Container buildings with all these advantages have recently attracted people's attention. However, it takes countless drops of sweat, effort, and sincerity from workers to turn used containers into a building. In order to create a container building, the first thing you have to do is move the container into the factory, which is not an easy task from the start. The container is 11m long, 3m high, and weighs nearly 4t, so if you're not careful, it could easily lead to an accident. It is a task that is done every time, but it is a heart-wrenching task every time. Cutting the connecting parts of the containers is also entirely the responsibility of the workers. They use a plasma cutter that reaches up to 2,000 degrees to cut the wall, and since the container is large, they have to cut it several times. The workers focus all their energy on cutting the exact part. Even sparks flying everywhere cannot disturb the workers’ concentration. The container is taking shape after intense work. The container building is finally out into the world after the urethane foam work and interior carpentry work that take a whole day are completed. Once the interior finishing work is completed, the weight of the container increases to 7 tons. The installation site is Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do. A total of 4 containers will be assembled here to create an ‘ㄱ’ shaped container office. The installation work is the last stage of the long journey, but it is not easy to even enter the village because of the tangled power lines at the entrance. To make matters worse, the ground has weakened due to the rain that fell in the morning, and the truck wheels keep getting stuck. They cannot give up like this. The workers decide to call in another crane.
