2019.06.01-2: Mátra 115 community performance tour and cross-country race / ultra trail: one of the favorite races of many, a fixed point in the race calendars. For years, it has been on the podium among the most popular performance tours, the most popular several times! 2019 was the third time that I set out for Hungary's second steepest cross-country race (Galyavár 100 miles is the steepest) over 100 km, which is also a performance tour. I met more nice friends than before, I was able to keep up with the Circle level runners, and then I continued my journey to the finish line at a more relaxed pace. Due to the wet, muddy sections that slow down progress in several places, approx. I was 2 hours slower than I could have done. The entry fee is always a bowl of - preferably home-made, heat-resistant - cake, so delicacies await you at the refreshment stations, some people call the Mátra 115 a gastro tour. The 2019 Mátra 115 was also excellent, flawless organization, nice people at the refreshments (and on the way), delicious cookies, beautiful painted stones at the finish line. After the 88th place in 2016, in 2017 I was 43rd in the 5 km longer distance, while in 2019 I was 40th. I brought several of my own updates (www.nutridepo.hu) so that I could consume them on the way and thus spend less time at the checkpoints (two minor missteps before and after Tót-hegyes took about 15 minutes). Route: Kisnána – Jagus – Oroszlánvár – Kékestetó – Parádsasvár – Galyatetó – Mátraalmás – Galyavár – Galyatetó – Hatökör-ura – Mátraháza – Lajosháza – Mátraszentimre – Szorospatak – Ágasvári-th. – Ágasvár – Mátrakeresztes – Hidegkúti-th. – Nagy-Parlag – Muzsla – Díós-patak – Kenes-forzák – Havas – Fajzatpuszta – Káva – Tót-hegyes – Világos-hegy – Fajzatpuszta - Snowy - Kenes-forzák - Gyöngyöspata = 132 km + 6760 m elevation gain (this is the official distance ).
