※ 2004 KBS Special Project [Great Journey, Korean] 3-part series ■ 0:00 Title ■ 0:49 Part 1: The Birth of the Word, Beyond the Mountains and Seas Together with members of the Korean Altaic Society, we search for the origins of our language in remote Mongolia and Siberia, and conduct a language similarity experiment with foreigners from 25 countries on the Eurasian continent residing in Korea. We will also release Korean language materials by Finnish linguist Ramstedt, who first included Korean in the Altaic language family, for the first time. ■ 57:06 Part 2: Words Give Birth to a Nation, and Traces of the Korean Language Are Found in Japanese. The Yayoi people invaded the Japanese archipelago 2,300 years ago, drove out the Jomon people, and became the masters of Japan. They came from the Korean Peninsula, armed with rice and a bronze culture, and spoke the Korean language. 'Words Give Birth to a Nation' traces the relationship between Korean and Japanese through dramatic events in ancient history, such as the 'Yayoi Invasion of the Archipelago', the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese Archipelago, the Three Kingdoms Period, and the unification of the Three Kingdoms by Silla. It also looks for traces of Korean in Japanese based on the joint research results on the similarities between Korean and Japanese by Park Myeong-mi, a Korean language instructor at Kyushu Sangyo University in Fukuoka, Japan, and Kiyoshi Shimizu, a former professor of linguistics at Kumamoto University. ■ 1:51:30 Part 3: The Path of Words Choosing Korean We will examine the characteristics of languages that undergo creation, extinction, and development, and explore the potential of Korean as a global language through 'Ai-chan', a Japanese girl who came to study Korean at Yonsei University. It also reveals that language goes beyond a simple means of communication and even creates economic value. #Hangul #Korean #Our Language ✔KBS Documentary KBS Official YouTube Channel [KBS Documentary] ????Subscribe????Like➡️ / @kbsdocumentary ????Contact: [email protected] Copyright ⓒ KBS.
