How does Shakespeare deal with it in his historical-political plays? His image of the English kings is both magnificent and terrifying. Is contemporary propaganda reflected in Shakespeare's work? How far does the carousel of ups and downs resemble the modern mechanism of power? All this and much more will be fulfilled by another exceptional meeting with a top Shakespearean scholar, Englishman and translator, prof. Martin Hilský. Samples from the original work will be performed by actor Gabriel Andrews. Performers: prof. Martin Hilsky, Gabriel Andrews. In cooperation with the British Council, within the Shakespeare lives project.
