After the April premiere in Dejvík, another evening took place on May 16 with Professor Martin Hilský on the work of William Shakespeare, this time reflecting on the topic of the position of women in Renaissance society and the roles they played in Shakespeare's plays. Again, a recording of this unique literary and dramatic program was made, in which Martin Hilský presents the most prominent female characters in Shakespeare's works. He entertained us by talking about Queen Hermione from The Winter's Tale, Titania from A Midsummer Night's Dream and many others. Together with him, Lenka Krobotová, who portrays the character of Hermione in The Winter's Tale on the stage of the Dejvice Theater, and Martin Myšička, another member of the Dejvice Theatre's ensemble, performed together. The show is included in the international Shakespeare Lives project and will take place in cooperation with the British Council in the Czech Republic on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare.
