In Marseille, the lives of emergency doctors and law enforcement officers are punctuated by varied and critical interventions. The doctors and nurses at the Timone hospital respond to more than 550,000 calls each year, dealing with domestic accidents, assaults, drownings and unexpected home births, under constant pressure to save lives. At the same time, the Marseille police are facing increasing crime, with urban violence and gang warfare. The new CSI (Security and Intervention Company) unit, made up of 190 selected police officers, fights tirelessly to protect residents.
