WebTv Marina Militare program dedicated to the discovery of the varied cultural heritage of the Armed Forces. Buildings, paintings, sculptures, furnishings, relics, nautical instruments and ancient books are the historical materials that the Navy preserves and safeguards throughout the country as a precious legacy of the past to be handed down to future generations. A collection of goods of historical and artistic value that the Navy wants to enhance and make known to an ever wider audience for a shared reappropriation and awareness of Italian history. This journey of knowledge can only start from Palazzo Marina, a symbolic place of the Armed Forces: in 5 short documentaries the treasure guarded here will be made accessible to all under the guidance of architects, restorers, historians and art historians. The first episode is dedicated to the history of the building and its extraordinary and unique iconography, completely inspired by the sea and the art of navigation. The following appointments, which will be held every two weeks, will illustrate the pictorial decorations of the Palace, the historical journey through relics, figureheads and flag chests, the library's book collection and the restoration work carried out in order to best preserve the cultural heritage of the Navy.
