What is the legacy of these relationships today? What role did Orthodoxy play in the history of Ukraine? Is language important for Ukrainian identity? To what extent does the Russian-speaking population of Ukraine identify with the Ukrainian identity? What is Zaporozhská Sích, Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Taras Shevchenko, Stepan Bandera for today's Ukrainians? What is the difference between the mentality of Russians and Ukrainians? Is Crimea Russian or Ukrainian? What are Ukrainians to us today and what are we to Ukrainians, and what role do ancient and recent history play in this?
