The Adventure of Innovation. Multimedia Christmas Show 2012. Facade of Seville City Hall, Spain. Designed and produced by GPD for Seville City Hall, sponsored by Movistar. The show is dedicated to talent and innovation as the gateway to a constantly evolving future that makes people's lives easier. For 13 minutes, the façade of the City Hall is transformed into a window to the history of the city and its Christmas traditions. To achieve the 3D sensation, 10 projectors of 22,000 lumens each and the work of more than forty people were needed. 20,000 frames were generated at 4K resolution. Carbon Neutral Event The Multimedia Christmas Show introduces a notable novelty this year: becoming a carbon neutral event. This means that all CO2 emissions generated during the organisation and celebration of the show are calculated and accounted for, to be offset by the acquisition of Voluntary Carbon Credits with a clean energy project. This ensures that all CO2 emissions associated with the event have a final balance of zero. The importance of neutralising emissions lies in the fact that they represent the most global environmental impact of an event and thus contribute to combating its effects. Schedule The show will be held from 11 December 2012 to 5 January 2013 in the Plaza de San Francisco in Seville. Shows are held from Monday to Thursday at 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. On weekends at 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
