About :

This time, we will be introducing a group of high-rise apartment buildings along the sea in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, known as a district for the wealthy. The location is Ashiyahama Danchi, located in a new town called Ashiyahama Seaside Town. It is a large-scale complex with a total of 52 buildings that was completed in 1979. Before completion, there was a major dispute between the prefecture and the city, but the residents overcame it with their own efforts. This town, built at enormous cost, was so unusual in its construction that it was described as a futuristic high-rise apartment building from the Showa era, and it attracted attention from all over Japan.
