About :

A man arrested for allegedly participating in a drug trafficking scheme at São Paulo International Airport in Guarulhos was able to prove his innocence and was released after eight months. Eduardo Ferreira da Silva worked for a third-party company and was mistakenly identified as one of the members of a gang that placed cocaine in the cargo of an aircraft on April 28, 2022. The family hired a private expert who compared the images of the suspect with his physical characteristics and clothing. The analyses showed significant differences between the two men: the drug trafficker had a beard while Eduardo did not. In addition, the criminal had darker skin and was bald, unlike him. Federal agents also investigated Eduardo's personal and financial life without finding evidence linking him to the crime. He had no telephone or bank records related to illegal activities.
