Composing melodies is perhaps the process where many musicians feel they are at the mercy of their intuition and stripped of techniques. To counter this, here is my Masterclass on melodic development, with 13 hours of techniques to create melodies and develop them. I am Tony Domenech (Countblissett) and I have worked for more than 12 years as a music educator in a private music school. Now I am on Youtube and I talk about modern harmony, music theory, musical analysis, chords, composition, musical arrangements, orchestration, etc. What I explain is applicable to a lot of instruments; piano, guitar, bass, etc. Besides composing, arranging and orchestrating my own commissions (mostly music for indie games), I interview soundtrack composers and have courses in music theory, modern harmony, voicings, melodic development, brass arrangements, string arrangements and a long etcetera that is increasing with subscribers' requests. I like music production but I am more specialized in composing and arranging music than in the production part per se, although I also do some sound design if things get ugly or I have a gun pointed at my head. If it's to force me to use autotune they'll have to pull the trigger. In general I try to make music theory and its practice accessible to everyone. I think it's essential for composers to have a rich harmonic language and I try to lend a hand in that aspect while I make a living.
