---Tomato ketchup--- Today we're making homemade ketchup with you and you'll see how quick and easy it is. The advantages of making your own ketchup are obvious: the taste and the fact that you know what's in it; no additives and not an unnecessary amount of sugar. Just try it out and be surprised! Best wishes, your Claudia ---------------------------------------Ingredients-------------------------------------- 500 g ripe tomatoes, quartered 90 g red pepper, chopped 1 onion, halved 25 g dark balsamic vinegar 1 pinch of nutmeg ¼ tsp black pepper, ground ½ tsp sweet paprika ½ tsp salt 30 g honey TIP If you sterilize the screw-top jar thoroughly, the ketchup will keep in the fridge for up to 3 months. If the ketchup seems too liquid, cook it in step 3 for a further 5 minutes/Varoma/level 1 or longer until it has the desired consistency. The taste intensifies over time. You can leave the ketchup in the fridge for 2 weeks before using it for the first time.
