Hello my dear baking friends! I'm glad you've landed on my channel. Make your own applesauce / a simple recipe During the apple harvest and as soon as the apples are ripe, applesauce is always welcome. Homemade applesauce simply tastes best! That's why I'll show you in just a few steps how easy it is to make fresh applesauce from apples, a little lemon juice and sugar. Applesauce tastes particularly good with pancakes and potato pancakes. But applesauce can also be used as a quark dish, apple desserts, in muesli and in many apple pie recipes. Have fun trying it out! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ingredients for 2-4 people: 1kg apples approx. 50ml water (depending on the type of apple) 20g-50g sugar (depending on the sweetness of the apples) 1/2 lemon (juice of half a lemon) a little cinnamon (optional) Preparation: 1. Wash, peel and quarter the apples, remove the core, cut into small cubes and place in a bowl. 2. Squeeze half a lemon. Pour the lemon juice over the diced apple pieces and stir with a spoon. 3. Add water and sugar and mix as well. 4. Put everything in a saucepan, cover with a lid and bring to the boil. 5. Simmer for 5 to 8 minutes on a medium heat until the apples are soft and falling apart. 6. Then mash the apple sauce finely with a potato masher or puree with a hand blender and add sweetener if desired. 7. Optionally, you can season with a little cinnamon powder. 8. You can serve the apple sauce warm or cold. Tips for the recipe Apple sauce will keep for 5-6 days in the fridge. If you want to preserve apple sauce, you should pour it directly into jars that have been rinsed with hot water beforehand and close the lid tightly. The apple sauce will last for up to three months if stored in a dark, dry place. This makes the recipe ideal for the pantry. Apples with a lot of acidity such as Boskoop, Braeburn or Cox Orange are particularly suitable for applesauce, as are all other aromatic apples. The amount of sugar can be easily reduced, or if you like, you can leave out the sugar altogether. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My name Khelli. I am a teacher by profession. Even as a child, I was interested in cooking and especially baking. The love and joy that I felt as a little girl and as a teenager at that time has remained unchanged to this day. In addition to my calling as a teacher, I pursue my great hobby in my free time. I discovered my passion for creative baking in 2015, when I baked my first themed cake for my class. I also share this joy, love and enthusiasm that I have when baking and making my creations with my students in class. Due to the current situation, it is unfortunately not possible to stand in the kitchen and bake with my students. That gave me the idea of making baking videos for students. Organizing your free time is a bit difficult at the moment. This gives the students the opportunity to bake simple recipes at home and enjoy baking. Have fun baking!
