The Maria Konopnicka Municipal and District Public Library in Lubań hosted Mrs. Magdalena Maruck, author of the book "The Silesian Sky of Jürgen Gretschel". She told us about the exceptional figure of Jürgen Gretschel, known as the oldest resident of Legnica, and his contribution to the historical heritage of Lower Silesia. In the book, Mrs. Marucka presents traditional recipes of Lower Silesian cuisine, the reconstruction of which was possible thanks to Jürgen's work, and describes local customs and rituals. The meeting was full of interesting facts and anecdotes from Gretschel's life, which show his commitment and passion in cultivating the culture of this Little Homeland.
