The Betsileo or "the many invincibles" is the third largest ethnic group in Madagascar. Their territory located in the south of the Highlands extends from Ambositra to Ambalavao, along the RN 7. They are farmers, breeders but above all excellent rice growers. The mosaic of rice terraces that mark this route attests to their know-how and their Indonesian origin. But the richness of their cultural heritage does not stop there: close ties with zebus, wood carving, sericulture... the region is home to a diversity of traditions that a whole series of characters strive to help us discover. Through these encounters, it is therefore the identity and daily life of the Betsileo people that the director reveals to us.
