LOVE GOOD THINGS Jeremiah 9:23-24. 23 This is what the LORD says: Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, nor the mighty man boast in his might, nor the rich man boast in his riches; 24 But let him who boasts boast in this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things, declares the LORD. “For I delight in these things, declares the LORD.” Life depends on what we like. Our likes change with age, circumstances, and awareness. The devil uses our likes to control our lives. The Power of Love. (social media) 1. Everything about life is influenced by what we like. Ecclesiastes 11:9. Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment. Matthew 24:12. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Proverbs 18:2. A fool delighteth not in understanding: but he that seeketh to speak his mind. Jeremiah 2:2. …I remember the kindness of thy youth, and the love of thy bride, when thou followedest me in the wilderness, in a land not sown. (There is so much to love these days) 2. Satan wants to control and direct our desires! Beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul. 1 Peter 4:2. that you may live the rest of your life in the flesh not for the lusts of men, but only for the will of God. 3. Set your minds on good things. Psalm 119:97. Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Proverbs 3:15. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Philippians 4:8. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about such things. 1 John 3:18.
