It is the 18th century. At Fredriksdal manor lives an elderly lady named Elvira Krank (Eva Rydberg) who, according to herself, is very ill. Her not entirely honest husband Claes-Rutger (Jan Modin) readily agrees. He has, may happen, something in his sights. However, Elvira's housemaid Petronella (Pernilla Wahlgren) knows more than well that the wife is only pretending and she doesn't hesitate to say it either? Elvira wants to marry off her daughter Sofia (Birgitta Rydberg) to Dr. Lungholm's (Thomas Ungewitter) son Nikodemus (Håkan Brinck) so that he can take care of his future mother-in-law. But the daughter is in love with another young man called Örjan (Linus Wahlgren) so now it's up to Elvira to convince her that she's not sick at all! Kärlek och Lavemang is the 2001 performance and one of the most requested performances at Fredriksdalsteatern. With, among others, Pernilla Wahlgren and Linus Wahlgren along with Eva Rydberg in the lead roles. It is one of the funniest interpretations of Molière's The Imaginary Sick ever, after adaptation by Hans Bergström and Adde Malmberg.
