About :

Today we embark on a journey not to what history has preserved, but to what it has lost; In this episode of the History Podcast, we explore the secrets and history of extraordinary inventions and technologies that have been lost or forgotten over the centuries! Imagine walking through an ancient library, whose walls are lined with dusty scrolls containing knowledge unknown to us; or a medieval workshop where the hands of craftsmen were born inventions that could have changed the world, but which never saw the light of day; This is the journey I invite you on today! Inventions and technologies are the foundations on which civilizations have built their empires, cultures, and identities. From the wheel to the smartphone, every invention carries a story - its creation and use, but also its impact on humanity. But what about other inventions? Those perhaps forgotten, or perhaps simply overshadowed by more successful counterparts? Indeed, don’t you wonder why some inventions endure while others disappear? The reasons vary. Some were lost to natural disasters, wars, and civilizational changes. Others fell victim to their times: either too advanced to understand or too radical to accept. Or perhaps some were deliberately suppressed or destroyed, their secrets still guarded as closely as the most precious treasure? Who knows? This episode of the history podcast, our history radio show, is a comprehensive review, divided into five key eras, each full of intriguing stories and discoveries. A) Antiquity: 1.
