Marianne Metzger lives as an artist in a village in Schleswig-Holstein. And on July 28, 2017, she experienced the catastrophe of her life. On that day, an Algerian with a German passport murdered her daughter Anne and grandson Noah. The perpetrator was later sentenced to life imprisonment by the Freiburg Regional Court, finding that his guilt was particularly serious. For Marianne Metzger, it was a crime of passion, which also happened because the perpetrator comes from a culture in which some men view women as their personal property. That's why she wants to not only initiate a social discussion, but also set up a foundation.
