The economic crisis in Germany and the policies of the traffic light government, made up of social democrats, greens and liberals, have been harshly criticised, especially for having put the country in a vulnerable position in the face of external interests. Ramirez has highlighted that the sanctions against Russia and the austerity policies imposed on the European Union have seriously affected the German economy, a situation that could worsen with the rise of AFD, a far-right party that questions the European alliance system. On the other hand, Ramirez has also commented on the economic situation in the US, highlighting that the Federal Reserve is beginning to admit that inflation is not under control. The economist stressed that the US public deficit is unsustainable and that the world economy is facing increasing pressure due to expansionary monetary policies.
