We arrived in London and we're going to show you some incredible places in the city and how we got here! We left Lyon, where we live, from Saint-Exupéry airport and took a direct flight to London with British Airways to Heathrow airport, the flight lasts 1h:30. Upon arriving at Heathrow airport in London, we took the Heathrow Express, a fast train that will take you to Paddington station in central London in 15 minutes. Buy your ticket for this train up to 3 months in advance and it will cost £15 per person. Website to buy: heathrowexpress.com And then we went for a walk! The first place we went was Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guard, which takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 11am. Get there early if you want a good spot! In front of the palace is St. James Park, a beautiful park that is worth visiting! To get to the palace and the park by tube, you can take the District Line or Circle Line and get off at St. James Park station. Here you don't need to buy a ticket for the subway, just swipe your credit card at the turnstiles at the entrance and exit of the stations! The most famous clock in London: Big Ben, which is located in the Elizabeth Tower, and the Palace of Westminster, where the British Parliament is located! Stroll through the beautiful Parliament Square, where you will see several statues of important figures such as former Prime Minister Winston Churchill. And next to it is Westminster Abbey. We have a video showing you inside it because we visited it. Watch our video: • What to do in LONDON - Main attractions... Visit the garden behind Parliament, the Victoria Tower Gardens. In addition to being beautiful, it has an incredible view of the River Thames and the London Eye. The bridge right next to Big Ben is the Westminster Bridge. It is always full of artists and has beautiful views. But BE CAREFUL, there are also scams and pickpockets, so be very careful with your belongings here! Tour the city and see several of London's tourist attractions on the city's iconic red double-decker buses, but not the tourist buses, the local buses themselves. Lines 9 and 11 are perfect for this! The ticket system is the same as the subway, just swipe your credit card in a machine next to the driver at the entrance to the bus! We went to Covent Garden, a famous place with several shops and restaurants, and we took the opportunity to eat at Buns and Buns, which was not only beautiful, but also delicious. Try the cookies at the famous Ben's Cookies, they have 15 flavors, including a vegan flavor! We passed by the majestic London Courthouse, the Royal Courts of Justice. And then we arrived at the beautiful cathedral: St. Paul's Cathedral. To see inside, you need to buy tickets there: children 6-17 years old pay £10 and adults £25. And seeing London from above is even more incredible, we proved this at the Sky Garden, and to go to floors 35 to 37 that give you this view is free, but you must book through the website: skygarden.london And walking around the city we discovered this pier, the Old Billingsgate Walk with this beautiful view!
