Thirty-first episode: The Battle of Sadowa - 1866 German unification was once disputed between that of Prussia and that of Austria. It was during a lightning conflict, the Prussian-Austrian War, that the question was decided in favor of Prussia. But what allowed this victory was played out upstream, because the latter was the only one to have truly equipped itself with the means to master the new technologies reinventing logistics. During the 19th century, the appearance of railways and the densification of their network interested the military. But its use is extremely complex as soon as operations become important.
