Live video broadcast from the patron saint of Putna Monastery, the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary On August 15, 2021, it will be 150 years since the great "Putna Celebration", a decisive event for defining Romanian identity in history. Initiated and marked, among others, by Mihai Eminescu, Ioan Slavici, Iraclie Porumbescu and Ciprian Porumbescu, to which young Romanians from everywhere joined, the "Putna Celebration" meant, above all, defining the ideal of national unity, achieved a few decades later. 150 years after the event, in another era, in an "other Romania", it is necessary to redefine the ideal of the re-unification of Romanians, of finding ourselves in a world and in a history in resettlement. At the Putna Monastery, an initiative committee, made up of representatives of Romanian youth associations, of the Romanian cultural and spiritual environment, conceived the “Putna Celebration – 2021” in terms of the continuity of an ideal: “unity in thought and feeling of all Romanians”, regardless of where they live, in Romania or in another corner of the world. Placed under the cultural authority of the Romanian Academy, the “Putna Celebration – 2021” aims to be a decisive moment in order to affirm and consolidate the unity of Romanians in the country and abroad and to strengthen brotherly ties, the communion of love and “working together” for the common good of the Romanian people. https://www.serbareputna150.ro/ #putnalive #evenimenteputna #serbareputna150
