When she was certain that she would pursue a career in music, she moved to São Paulo to study popular singing at EM&T (School of Music and Technology) and then enrolled at the Tom Jobim Free University of Music, now EMESP (São Paulo State School of Music). After singing with major bands and musical groups, she continued her promising career, which spans the MPB, jazz and Latin American genres, and is considered one of the new great voices in Brazilian music. In 2012, alongside violinist Gabriel Selvage, she recorded the album 'Amor e Som'. Alana Moraes' versatility has also been demonstrated in theater. The artist participated in the musicals 'O Vale Encantado', by Oswaldo Montenegro, 'Forrobodó', by Chiquinha Gonzaga, and 'Laximi, a Deusa'. She also participated in the film 'Tempo e o Vento', directed by Jayme Monjardin. With the show 'Nostalgia Brasileira', Alana, alongside guitarist Gabriel Selvage, toured Europe in October 2014, visiting France, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal. Alana Moraes has also recorded and sung alongside great artists, such as Renato Borghetti, Luis Carlos Borges, Luciano Maia, Mestrinho, Yamandu Costa, Lucio Yanel, Itamar Collaço (Zimbo Trio), Arthur Bonilla, Wander Taffo, Paulinho Fagundes, Jorginho do Trumpet, Susana Travassos, among others. In 2015, Alana also went on two major tours, starting in Argentina, accompanied by Gabriel Selvage and accordionist Guilherme Goulart, performing in prominent nightlife venues in Buenos Aires, such as Café Vinillo, and then for the second time in Europe, once again visiting Portugal, Spain, France and this time also England. After several years of experience, with awards in several Brazilian music competitions and festivals, the singer received the biggest music award in the south of the country, the Açorianos Music Award, in the Revelation category, and also the RBS TV Origens trophy for best artist of the year 2015.
