He writes, poems and paints. Polyhistoroks have versatile artistic talent, but the hero of our story, János Dobnik, did not paint with a brush in hand. He went through the famous and infamous French Foreign Legion, took part in several sharp deployments with his comrades in bloody African wars, then robbed a bank in Atwerpen, was injured in a firefight with the police, for which he spent many years behind bars. Fate brought him together with Magda Marinko, the executioner from the South Region, several times. Dobnik sat in the dock as an accomplice of the cruel assassin.
