Liturgy and life: What does the Eucharist mean to us? First Communion is a highlight for parishes every year. 8,500 children receive it every year in the Diocese of Trier alone. Many are involved: priests, parish workers, catechists and especially parents. We are celebrating a big festival. Children are led to the Eucharist. In the video, parish cooperator Carsten Mayer explains the mass. Two families talk about their experiences with the Eucharist. What does the Eucharist mean to them? Amazing: One of the families only returned to church after their daughter's First Communion. It has long been Bishop Dr. Stephan Ackermann's concern to promote the Eucharist in the Diocese of Trier. The Eucharist Network was founded for this purpose, which is responsible for this video, offers Eucharist workshops and works on the renewal of the Eternal Prayer.
