Little Ringed Plover Part 2. A film by Arno Werner In the second part of the documentary about the Little Ringed Plover, it was possible to follow the breeding process of a second clutch from the laying of the eggs to the departure of the young birds from the breeding area. It was only towards the end of the first brood that the nest location could be located. This was in a current gravel pit in the Große Aue near Bebra. The hatching of the young could still be documented before they probably fell victim to natural enemies a day later. A little later, the pair laid a second clutch at this location. The breeding process could then be observed without disturbance from a service path.
