A few months ago I covered a section of the northern coastal route in Portugal. Now it was the turn of the section that goes from Lisbon to El Real de San Antonio and which, for logistical reasons, ended up being extended to Huelva. We were surprised by the number of good tracks for fast gravel, the beauty of the entire Alentejo and Algarve coast and the stretch of marshes from Portimao to Guadiana. On the negative side, be careful with the cars that will almost never stop or slow down to see if they can pass, you have to stay close to the right. Fortunately, there are few sections with a lot of traffic. The prices in this southern area did not seem low to us either, you can see the influx of tourists from all over Europe. In the end we decided to do it in five stages, which gave us our level of demand. First a sandy ravine not suitable for cycling and then a river full of vegetation from which we had to exit through a sawmill.
