Many have a range of oils of their own brand (in the sales area) and oil change points. #Aral 2300 #Shell 1955 #Total 1157 #Esso 961 #Avia 818 Jet 843 Raiffeisen 713 Orlen (Star) 582 #ENI (Agip) 468 Tamoil / HEM 411 At ARAL branded gas stations, neither SHELL nor TOTAL will sell the competing brand LM. In general, in the mass sales of motor oils in Germany, LIQUI MOLY does not occupy a leading place. Why is it everywhere in retail. Everything is very simple here. LIQUI MOLY has a fairly aggressive marketing policy in PVL (Consumer Lubricants) and tries to display the product in all retail outlets where possible. Because this is the basis of the brand's entire policy - to be everywhere. In terms of sales in Germany, #Castrol is definitely in first place, #Mobil is in second place, and I think #ARAL is in third place. In order to see the full picture, I will tell you how oils are chosen, bought and changed in Germany. After purchasing a new car, all fluid changes are only made at the dealership to which they are assigned. The service interval for oil changes in a new car is dictated by the dealer. For a German, it is important that the replacement interval is observed according to the regulations, but it is not very important what exactly the dealer pours in. The oil change period for a new car is usually one year or from ten to twenty thousand kilometers, and in the case of new diesel engines and LONG LIFE oils, up to twenty-five thousand kilometers. Even if the service book specifies a replacement interval of thirty thousand for #LONG_LIFE diesel, the German will come for a replacement exactly after thirty thousand. Naturally, as in Russia and all over the world, servicing at dealers is very expensive. Officials charge from sixty to one hundred and fifty euros for a replacement and make a double markup on the oil itself. For example, Mobil 5w30 will cost thirty euros per liter, against fifteen at a regular 100. And the oil change itself at the official one generally costs some fantastic one hundred to two hundred euros. In total, one oil change at the dealer costs on average a trust of euros. What brands do dealers offer: Well, naturally, those for which the car manufacturer has global world contracts: Car enthusiasts in Germany pour in what is recommended by car manufacturers and, accordingly, dealers of these brands. Of course, the dealer also offers OEM oils and special fluids, but in much smaller quantities, again, as a rule, in ninety-nine percent of these OEM oils and special fluids are made by the same Shell, Mobil, Castrol. Of course, the picture is a little different with people who have little money or low earnings, such people naturally also exist in Germany. And with old cars and cars bought on the secondary market. In this segment, they very often save and count money. Such people almost never get serviced at branded service stations, but choose simpler services, of which there are plenty in the country. Because an oil change at a regular service station is several times cheaper than at a branded or dealer one. The price of a liter of 5w30 is from ten to fifteen euros. The cost of the change itself is twenty-five euros. All together, on average, about one hundred euros versus three hundred at an official one. The Germans never change oil after five or seven thousand kilometers, only after ten thousand or more. In the second part, we will consider: 2. Where, in which country and at which plant LIQUI MOLY products are manufactured. 3. That the oil is poured into the packaging with the LIQUI MOLY logo. 4. Is it worth paying for LIQUI MOLY the price that the dealer in Russia wants. Link to the second part: • LIQUI MOLY motor oils. Who makes...
