LINEA VERDE TWENTY-SECOND EPISODE SUNDAY 18 FEBRUARY 2024 Today's twenty-second episode takes us on a journey to Molise, starting from Campobasso and after the story of a poignant legend linked to the Terzano Tower, again in Campobasso, Livio will meet a craftsman who, in his workshop, has been carrying on the ancient tradition of perforated steel for many years, making scissors, cutlery, letter openers and other very special objects. Molise is also a land of mills and grain artisans, and for this reason Livio will meet a couple in Montagano who, a few years ago, began to grow ancient organic wheat to produce some types of bronze-drawn pasta. Peppone will visit the ancient village of Castropignano, in search of some typical recipes of the area, and will enter a farm to tell the various stages of transformation of organic milk into cheese. In Vinchiaturo, Livio will talk about hydroponic cultivation and also about a particular caciocavallo that is aged in a pot of raw earth. Peppone, Livio and Margherita will then meet inside the archaeological park of Altilia-Saepinum, where they will meet the maestro Ambrogio Sparagna, an expert musician and scholar of popular music. In Longano, in the province of Isernia, Peppone will meet a boy who, in 2009, decided to take over his grandparents' land to raise calves, sheep and pigs, while in Montaquila he will tell the ancient tradition of wood-fired bread and illustrate a particular recipe for Easter dove cake. Ample space in the episode will also be given to nature with Margherita who will visit the village of Carpinone and its suggestive waterfalls, considered one of the most fascinating natural spectacles of the place. Peppone, Livio and Margherita will then meet again for the grand finale in Campobasso, to discover the recipe for a typical Molise dish: “pizza e minestra”. (From Rai Press Release)
