Subscribe to Dimitris Bassi's official channel: http://bit.ly/2LYfTol In a unique pairing of ancient heritage and modern Art, the Ministry of Culture illuminated the iconic Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, with a special event broadcast live by ERT2 and ERT WORLD, on Monday, September 16, 2024. The lighting was overseen by the internationally renowned lighting designer Eleftheria Deco. The new lighting of the temple highlights in a unique way the historical and architectural importance of the monument, giving it new dimensions and bringing the past to life through light. The evening of illumination culminated with the concert of the distinguished Greek composer Stavros Xarhakos, who presented a musical composition that pays tribute to the cultural heritage of Greece. The concert was accompanied by leading Greek artists, such as Dimitris Bassis, Iro Saia and Zacharias Karounis, a multi-member choir and a string and wind orchestra, under the guidance of the leading Stavros Xarhakos.
