What is it like to live in a commune and share your money with everyone? Today I'm meeting people who live exactly like that and I want to find out exactly how it works and why they decided to live in a commune. Ben is one of the residents of the Mensch*Meierei commune (www.mensch-meierei.org). In total, 9 adults and 3 children currently live on the old farm. And when the extension is finished, a few more will join them. But this is still being extended and then many more residents are to live in the commune. There are also a few construction trailers on the property - fourteen adults will live here when everything is finished. And even then, everyone wants to continue to share their money together - are you ever afraid of missing out? Ben is very relaxed about it! Everyone can take what they need for their everyday life from the cash register - which contains part of the commune's money in cash. And if you want to buy something bigger, the group discusses it and sees whether it's okay for everyone. So far it has always worked out well, he says! It doesn't bother him that some people "pay" more money into the commune than others - because in the end no one misses out and the community sticks together really well and is an enrichment for everyone! If you want to know what everyday life is like in the commune and how commune resident Zora has made herself comfortable in her little trailer, then watch my new episode: "Life in the commune: We share everything!" Episode 4 of the question "What does money do to us?" Here you can find all episodes of the question: https://bit.ly/2qG3jno This is the question: There are these big, tricky questions that have no easy answers. How do I deal with death? What's so great about a fetish? Should I be afraid of psychiatric care? I look for answers to these questions, week after week, for you. I'm not satisfied with simple answers - I prefer to try things out, dig deeper and go where it gets uncomfortable. I don't ask experts, I'm mostly there: in psychiatric hospitals, at fetish parties, in rescue helicopters. There's a new episode every Tuesday at 1 p.m. ► Follow me on Facebook: / diefrage ──────────────────────────── #diefrage is a program from #funk.
