Conference Let's restore Notre-Dame! 07 Régis MARTIN. SIPC-2021. "The spires of Combles: The culmination and posterity of pointed architecture." Mr. Régis Martin is Inspector General of Historic Monuments, Inspector General of Heritage responsible for Île-de-France, and Chief Architect of Historic Monuments (ACMH). Régis Martin has been Inspector General of Historic Monuments since 2016, and Chief Architect of Historic Monuments (ACMH) since 1991. He was a lecturer at the Chaillot school (Bulgaria, Russia) and a teacher at the Paris-Conflans School of Architecture (UPA4) from 1985 to 1993. He graduated with a Diploma of Advanced Studies in the Knowledge and Conservation of Ancient Monuments (DESHCMA) in 1987 and graduated as an Architect DPLG in September 1984 (Paris-Conflans School of Architecture, ENSBA UPA 4, Malaquais). Régis Martin has been a member of the French Archaeological Society since 1989, a member of the Franco-British Union of Architects since 1991, and a member of the European Charter of Cistercian Abbeys and Sites since 1986. He has been secretary of the Company of Chief Architects of Historic Monuments from 2011 to 2014 and its president since 2020. As Inspector General of Heritage, he is responsible for the Ile de France region with the exception of Val d'Oise. He was tasked with the restoration of the Lalibela site (Ethiopia). As Chief Architect of Historic Monuments, he was in charge of numerous restorations of historic buildings, religious buildings (churches, basilicas, cathedrals) and a large number of castles. Compagnonnages, Artisans d'Art et Œuvriers", as part of the International Cultural Heritage Fair, took place on October 30, 2011 at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. It was organized by the general interest cultural association Restaurons-Notre Dame (rND) on the occasion of the event exhibition "Let's Restaurons Notre-Dame!" which it initiated in partnership with the Fédération des Compagnons du Tour de France and Ateliers d'Art de France, official organizers of SIPC-2021.
