On this very special day, we wish a sparkling birthday to one of the great monsters of Congolese Rumba. He was the big guest on the set of DRTV International, on a certain September 21, 2023. The public, through his brilliant talent, his very fine writing, and his sense of intellectualism, gave him the nickname VIEUX BOBO. BOYIBANDA MICHEL born on February 22, 1940 is a big name in the history of Congolese rumba, because of his involvement and his serious impact on Congolese culture. He is remembered in the NEGRO BAND Orchestra (where he took his first steps in music), in the OK JAZZ of Luambo Makiadi Franco Grand Maître which he left in 1967 before rejoining in 1972, in the LES BANTOUS DE LA CAPITALE orchestra around 1976-1977, in the LES TROIS FRERES ORCHESTRA around 1977-1978-1979, then the INTERNATIONAL RUMBAYA and so on...
