Welcome everyone to our Japanese language course. You've come to the right place! The first lesson of the series talks about some important facts about the Japanese language as a brief history of the origins of the language (the writing style in particular), the characters used in it and the reasons for using them, while explaining some features that may facilitate the study of this language and the flaws that may (possibly) make it more difficult. Fasten your seatbelts and let's join us on our exciting learning journey! Edit: Chinese characters came to Japan around the 5th century AD, not the first as mentioned in the presentation. I don't own the images displayed in this video.
