Vondráček In its seventh installment, the documentary cycle dedicated to the legends of Czechoslovak folk and country music will focus on the legendary competitive music festival Porta and its years 1967 – 1980. The name of the festival is inspired by the valley of the Elbe river called Porta Bohemica, and the first year was held in 1967 in Ústí nad Labem. Over the following years, Porta became a key, almost cult event for folk and country music, where dozens of bands and solo musicians and singers presented themselves. Of course, with the growing interest of the public in this festival, control by the communist regime also increased. Among others, Wabi Daněk, Vladimír Merta, the Nedvědová brothers and Miki Ryvola will introduce you to the most famous years of the festival, which is still held every year and enjoys great public interest, and their narration will be complemented by a number of unique archive footage.
