Is electricity from photovoltaic systems cheaper than electricity from other power plants? What role does crystalline silicon play? What should photovoltaic research focus on in the future? These are some of the questions Prof. Dr. habil. Jürgen H. Werner addresses and gives some surprising answers in his lecture. Werner is a full professor at the Institute for Photovoltaics at the University of Stuttgart and a visiting professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. We recorded the lecture from March 19, 2014 at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences.
