On April 19, 2016, another of the series of interesting lectures organized by the student association called Diplomatic Forum took place at the School of International and Public Relations Prague. The topic of this lecture, which took place as part of the II. Eurasian Day, was everyday life in today's China. LECTURER: PhDr. Zlata Černá (Czech-Chinese Society) ► Ms. Zlata Černá is a prominent Czech sinologist specializing in classical Chinese, poetry and visual culture and a translator from Chinese and Japanese. ► After graduating from the Faculty of Arts of Charles University (specializations in Chinese and History of the Far East), she interpreted for various delegations and taught Czech to Chinese aspirants in language courses. ► Between 1960-63, she worked in the Oriental Collection of the National Gallery and then in the Oriental Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (1964-72), from where she was dismissed during the normalization process. ► Since 1976, she was allowed to join the Náprstek Museum, where she worked as a curator of the Chinese, Japanese and Lamaist collections until 2005. Since 1990, she has been an external lecturer at the Institute of Far East Studies of the Charles University Faculty of Arts. ► Currently, she chairs the Czech-Chinese Society.
