On April 23, 2019, another of the series of interesting lectures organized by the student association called Diplomatic Forum took place at the School of International and Public Relations Prague. The topic of this lecture, which took place as part of the 5th Eurasian Day, was the life of ordinary North Koreans. LECTURER: Nina Špitálníková ► Nina Špitálníková is a Czech Koreanist, writer, and women's rights activist. ► She graduated from the Faculty of Arts of Charles University (majoring in Korean Studies). During her studies, she studied propaganda, the development of the personality cult, and the history of the DPRK. ► As part of her studies, she completed a semester at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea. Between 2011-12, she also participated in study visits to Kim Jong-il University in Pyongyang. She published her findings in the book Between the Two Kims - On Studies in the DPRK. ► Last year she became a member of the research team at the Peace Research Center Prague, which is coordinated by the Institute of Security Policy at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University. ► She is involved in activities related to gender inequality. In 2017, she founded the project Woman on a mission with the Vibronics group, which draws attention to the disadvantage of women in the music industry. ► She works as a dramaturg and producer at the multicultural center Crossclub.
