[Lecture] How did the universe begin? - Big Bang _ Kim Hyung-do |2019 Spring Chaos Lecture 'Origin, Ultimate Questions' 2nd lecture ◆Speaker: Kim Hyung-do _Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Seoul National University ◆Panel: Kim Hang-bae _Professor, Department of Physics, Hanyang University ◆Moderator: Kim Geun-soo _Professor, Department of Physics, Yonsei University ◆Lecture Overview◆ We will look at what modern physics understands about the universe and what we still do not know. Modern cosmology, which began with Hubble's observations, has established itself as a precision observation science through Big Bang nucleosynthesis and cosmic background radiation. In order to examine the history of the early universe that we understand, we will introduce space-time and energy, the origin of mass and light, and inflation theory. We will also explain what the recent discovery of the Higgs particle and the observation of gravitational waves have to say about the origin of the universe. ◆Panel Discussion◆ 1. Why does time flow in one direction? -Entropy and inflation theory 2. How were humans born? - The Anthropic Principle and the Multiverse, and Infinity [3-minute Science] Coincidence and Necessity (Professor Kim Hang-bae) 3. The Mystery of Scientists 1_ Who is the best scientist? 2_ What is the best star or galaxy? 3_ The Mystery of My Life You can download the lecture materials from the Chaos Foundation homepage:) bit.ly/2Lz9LW1 (Refer to the lecture materials below) - The New World of Science ♥ Chaos Foundation ~ Home ikaos.org (Information on lecture events upon registration) Facebook facebook.com/kaosfoundation YouTube / kaosscience Instagram instagram.com/kaosfoundation
