The seventh edition of the Congress of the MERCOSUR Public Law Association took place on April 23 and 24 at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the UNL. The closing conference was given by the prestigious German jurist, Robert Alexy. Special conference On Friday, April 24, at 5 p.m., the prestigious German professor and jurist Robert Werner Alexy gave the closing conference of the Congress, under the title "The effectiveness of fundamental rights"; which in turn was the second international conference within the framework of the Carlos S. Nino Open Chair of the FCJS. About the speaker: Robert Alexy is a German jurist. Professor of Public Law at the Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel. He studied law and philosophy in Göttingen. He received the Dr. iur. in 1976 with a thesis on the Theory of Legal Argumentation, and in 1984 he obtained his habilitation with the book Theory of Fundamental Rights.
