About :

In this video clip, we will briefly explain yeast and how it works, and in the following clip, we will learn how to prepare a starter, as well as how to propagate and produce it at home. == Do not propagate four times because the nature of your yeast can change after four times of propagation. ????A brief explanation of how to make a starter: The most expensive component of beer and wine is yeast, and for this reason, #yeast_propagation is done all over the world in home and industrial brewing and winemaking. In Iran, where yeast is both expensive and difficult to obtain, yeast propagation can be a very useful way. ????The first principle: Remember that yeasts are living organisms. They feed, sleep, reproduce, and die. ????The life stages of yeast have three phases, the first of which is propagation. So we want to take advantage of this; here we create conditions similar to brewing and winemaking so that the yeasts are fooled and think they are going to make beer or wine. How? With starter: We prepare a one and a half liter mash with a low water content, then we send the yeasts to the starter so that they start to multiply as usual. ???? But the necessary ingredients: ????A 2 to 3 liter glass tank ????Aluminum foil ????150 grams of malt extract powder for beer starter ????A liter of apple juice for wine starter ????A packet of brewer's or wine yeast ????Beer starter: ????First, pour the malt extract powder into the tank, then pour in boiled water until the liquid volume reaches 1.5 liters. Shake the tank and mix the liquid thoroughly. Then remove the aluminum foil. ???? Fill the sink with ice and place the glass container inside until the temperature of the solution drops below thirty degrees. ???? Pour the #hydrated yeast into the container and leave it in a dark place at room temperature and try to shake it every few hours. ???? After about 2 days, the starter fermentation will be finished and we put it in the refrigerator to settle. Depending on the type of yeast, it will take between 1 and 2 days. After it settles, we pour away the liquid on the larder and only keep the sediment on the bottom. Usually, it is about 50 cc of Lord's. ????Each of these small containers has the ability to ferment twenty liters of beer. ????You can store these yeasts in the refrigerator at 2 to 6 degrees for up to three months or propagate them again. Note: Dry yeast has complete nutrients for propagation, and malt pulp is also rich in nutrients and does not require additives such as diammonium phosphate DAP. ????Wine yeast can also be propagated in the same way, just use natural apple juice instead of making malt pulp. ????Source: Instagram page of my good friend Agha Farhad Aziz @homebrew.farsi ============================================================================= ✅️Different parts of the clip: 00:00 Start 00:31 Introduction 01:42 What is yeast 02:28 Where are yeasts found 03:25 Why should we use special yeast 04:47 How yeasts are classified 06:20 Hydrating yeast 07:57 When is hydration required? 09:22 How to hydrate yeast? 13:29 Reasons for making starters 14:29 Life stages of yeast 17:20 How to make starters 19:55 How to make starters for beer 21:26 Yeast production == ✅Fast clarification and very compact sediment ✅Compatible with MLF (malo) fermentations ✅Positive contribution to SO2 policy???? ✅Prevents spontaneous MLF (malo) ♻️ ABV: 18% Music: ► Jarico - Landscape : / la. . ► Jarico - Landscape [NCS BEST OF]: • Video Song: Bayza & Dimatis - Serenity Music provided by Vlog No Copyright Music.
