Chemical equilibrium in a chemical reaction indicates that the reactants and products have their concentrations constant. Chemical reactions are rearrangements of atoms, where the breaking of the chemical bonds of the reactant substances will give rise to new bonds, and consequently, new molecules, forming the products. Thus, in a chemical reaction, the reactants are consumed and the products are formed. In other words, at the beginning of the reaction, there are only the reactants, which will interact and produce the products. Chemical transformations occur by increasing or decreasing the speed of their reactions. Irreversible reactions are examples of reactions in which at least one of the reactants is completely consumed. An example of this type of reaction is the combustion process. In addition, there are also reactions that are not complete, that is, chemical reactions in which the yield is not 100%. These chemical reactions are called reversible reactions, since the reactants form the products and these return to form the reactants at the same time. In most chemical processes, chemical reactions occur in two directions, which are called direct and reverse reactions. Representing a generic reaction: a A + b B ↔ c C + d D or a A + b B ⇋ c C + d D These two arrow models indicate that the reactions above are reversible, that is, they occur in both directions of the reaction. The direction from left to right represents the forward reaction, and the direction from right to left represents the reverse reaction. ATTENTION: if the arrows are different sizes, we will have different reaction rates. However, if the arrows are the same size, it means that the reaction has reached chemical equilibrium. In this class, teacher Larissa shows you how to solve chemical equilibrium exercises. Questions? Leave them in the comments. ;) 🔴 WATCH ALSO Chemical equilibrium • CHEMICAL EQUILIBRIUM: DEFINITION, CALCULATION... ❤️ SOCIAL MEDIA INSTA @cursoenemgratuito TWITTER @enemgratuito FACE /cursoenemgratuito/ /// AFTER ALL, WHAT IS THE FREE ENEM COURSE?
