In our video today, we will show you a QUICK, EASY AND CHEAP solution to make your kitchen countertop incredible! First, we will teach you how to build the countertop, which is easy to do; just follow the step-by-step instructions with a good bricklayer. Draw a picture of how you want the countertop and measure the area with a tape measure or measuring tape. Then, insert the measurements into the drawing. Select the area where you will build the countertop, but do this calmly and carefully, because building it later and then undoing it, umm... is a lot of work, lol. Build the first wall with 9cm concrete blocks and then build the first shelf. Then build the next wall and finally, the top of the countertop. IMPORTANT TIP FROM ANTONIO: For both the first and second shelves, tie everything together with 10mm iron and POP mesh (your bricklayer will know how to do it) and after pouring the concrete, always wait at least 7 days for the cement to cure (solidify completely). Oh! Our countertop was 90cm high, which is standard and was super comfortable for us, but you can do it however you want :) Make sure you divide the dry and wet areas so that your sink can fit in (built-in or overlay) and the white cement part will be easier to handle. We chose stainless steel for the sink. Let's move on to the countertop part. First, start by applying the adhesive (Bianco type) all over the countertop (walls and shelves) with a brush; Now, mix the white burnt cement with: 2 measures of white cement 2 measures of ACIII white porcelain mortar 1 liter of adhesive additive (Bianco type) 3 liters of water Size of measuring container: 4L Mix the items one by one in a large bucket and use a drill with a stirrer to mix and leave it at the consistency you want. We recommend that it be neither too firm nor too soft, as otherwise it can make the application process difficult. Place some strips around the countertop to make it easier to control the product, but if the person doing the work is a good bricklayer, you certainly won't need it. After applying the white burnt cement to the entire countertop, you need to take fine sandpaper and sand the entire countertop until you get the finish you want. That's it, now you have a wonderful white cement countertop in your kitchen.
