A spiritist public lecture is an activity that is part of the programming of many spiritist centers around the world. This is a time when a Spiritist speaker, usually a volunteer, presents a topic related to the Spiritist doctrine to an audience interested in learning more about this philosophy. These lectures can cover a wide variety of topics, from more general themes such as love, charity and spirituality, to more specific themes such as reincarnation, mediumship and the process of spiritual evolution. The purpose of public lectures is to share knowledge and clarifications about the Spiritist doctrine and its practices, in addition to providing a space for reflection and debate on important issues of life and the spiritual world. Public Spiritist lectures are open to the general public and are usually free of charge.
