I continue to create a collection of hammers and today I decided to cast a hammer from lead. I will cast a lead hammer using a lost wax model, a wax or paraffin model of a hammer will do. Lead hammers are cast not only for fun, they also come in a factory version, you could say that a lead hammer is disposable, but it is used for particularly important work, for example, knocking out a shaft when disassembling equipment and not riveting it or crushing the threads on it. I cast a hammer from the lead that I managed to collect, it turned out to be a mix of lead, there was cable lead and lead from batteries and other lead, I think due to the presence of cable lead, the hammer turned out to be especially soft. I melted the lead in a stainless steel container that I got by cutting up an old thermos. It is better to melt lead in such a container than in a tin can. I did not make a fire for melting, but used a gasoline burner to melt the lead, its temperature is more than enough. The hammer turned out to be small but quite heavy. True, you can't drop such a hammer, lead is very soft and traces of blows remain on it. In general, another collectible hammer is ready. I hope the video about casting a lead hammer will be interesting and informative, will bring practical benefit to someone. Enjoy watching everyone. Thank you all for watching.
