Between 1927 and 1953, they acted together in almost a hundred films. Although more than half a century has passed since the era of these two artists, they are still popular. But in reality, Laurel and Hadri were very different from what was shown on the screen. If we want to tell the story of Laurel and Hardy, we have to go miles away from Hollywood and its crowded atmosphere, we have to take a trip to distant years. The story of Stan Laurel begins in the north of England. The one whose real name was Stan Jefferson. What happened when his name was changed to Laurel is a story that we will get to later. Stan Laurel was born in 1890 in Alveston, England. The eldest child of a family whose work was art and theater from the past. Stanley's father was Mr. AJ Jefferson. He was a playwright and comedian. Since he was young, Stanley used to go to the theater with his father, and when his father was performing, he would wait behind the stage of the theater, because of this, he had been familiar with the atmosphere of the theater and the show since his childhood. Since his father was a comedian, he was very fond of funny shows, he decided to become a comedian in the future. Stan Laurel joined a show group, which happened to include Charlie Chaplin, but they didn't know each other at that time, and they didn't know that they were going to leave England and become superstars in the future. Stan Laurel and Charlie Chaplin stay in England, but we don't stay in England. We leave England and go to America to tell the story of Oliver Hardy. The story of Oliver Neville Hardy begins with the early death of his father. Father died when Hardy was a baby. This incident made Hardy very dependent on his mother. Hardy was very overweight since childhood. According to his sister, due to the fact that he did not have a father from the beginning, it had an impact on his spirit. Most of his childhood was spent alone and he used to overeat. Being fat made kids make fun of him at school. Hardy used to visit film recording studios in his free time, my goal was to get a role from these directors anyway. Finally, in 1914, he achieves his goal, and is given a very small role in a comedy film. His chubbyness made him attract the attention of Hollywood directors. He used this physics to make people laugh. Something that did not have much history and of course was successful, Laurel's experience on the theater stage was very useful in the cinema. He entered the cinema in 1917 and within 3 years he acted in several films, although he did not have an important role in most of them. It was in 1921 that Laurel and Hardy co-starred for the first time. A movie called the lucky dog, the role they played in this movie was not even one percent similar to their future roles. But it was from this movie that it became clear that these two people can communicate well. But still no one, not even Laurel and Hardy themselves, knew that they were going to become an artistic couple in the future. Because after this movie, these two did not have any relationship until the next six years and no joint movie was made until the next six years. A few years passed and a good thing happened. Separately, Laurel and Hardy signed with a Hollywood producer named Hal Roach. In 1927 Mr. Roach put Laurel and Hardy in a movie after a long time. A movie called Duck Soup was actually Mr. Hal Roach who created this comedy couple. In a way, it can be said that the creator of this comedy couple, that is, Laurel and Hardy, was Mr. Hal Roach, this artistic couple found the main character and their comedy. From here on, the world knew these films as Laurel and Hardy. The name of none of their films was Laurel and Hardy, and each of these films had a different director and writer, but they became known in the world as Laurel and Hardy films. Day by day, Laurel and Hardy's character was formed more. Crying like children, walking around in ties, taking off hats. All these movements were gradually created by these two comedians. Little by little, the Laurel-Hardy name became a trademark. Among all the strange things they did, perhaps the funniest was Oliver Hardy's staring at the camera. One of the interesting parts of Laurel and Hardy's movies was that they were always looking for a simple, happy and comfortable life, but the way to achieve this Comfort was very complicated and eventually failed.
