Dr. Luján Comas, a graduate in medicine and surgery, and specialized in anesthesiology and resuscitation, is the president of the Icloby Foundation, which was born as a result of a near-death experience of its Founder, Dr. Javier Melo, with the aim of improving the world we live in through an increase in individual and collective consciousness. The Icloby Foundation currently has two research projects underway. You can see them at https://icloby.org/investigacion/ The Luz Project consists of an ambitious clinical investigation that, taking as a reference the previous study led by Doctors Pim van Lommel, Ruud van Wees and Ingrid Efferich in 2001 in the Netherlands, aims to reproduce said research in a different sociocultural environment (becoming the most important study ever carried out in Spanish-speaking countries) in order to compare and expand the results. An NDE (Near Death Experience) is a special state of consciousness that occurs during a real or imminent period of physical death. Although there are various scientific investigations into the nature of NDEs, there are still clear gaps in knowledge, which makes it necessary to position ourselves in an international research whose scientific rigor supports the veracity of the data collected and the subsequent conclusions of the research. The “Terminal Lucidity” Project refers to a cognitive improvement that occurs shortly before a dying person dies. In many cases, it can be disconcerting for the person’s relatives, since they consider this improvement to be a recovery from an agonizing process and they are usually moments of full awareness, of peace where patients even get to say goodbye and console their relatives before their imminent departure with complete lucidity.
