On June 12th. Ceremony to celebrate Artillery Day. The graduation ceremony was held at the Brigadeiro Sampaio Parade Ground and Stadium, in Vila Militar, and brought together representatives from several Artillery Military Organizations, as well as troops from EsAO, AMAN, CPOR-RJ and Marines. Artillery Weapon Day is celebrated on June 10th, the birthday of its Patron, Marshal Emílio Luis MALLET. Present in all war conflicts, even before the invention of gunpowder, Artillery is the Weapon that provides fire support to maneuver movements. With the evolution of its military materials, modern Artillery offers effects that range from area saturation and anti-aircraft protection of critical structures to hitting targets with metric precision. This enables maneuvers to achieve their objectives with fewer casualties and side effects; Engineering to enhance their obstacles by adjusting fire; and other supporting Arms, receive anti-access coverage of the airspace, providing protection for their structures. The ceremony was presided over by the Military Commander of the East, Army General Kleber Nunes de Vasconcellos. .
